After Hurricane Irma wreaked havoc on the Florida Keys, one Key West woman took charge to see that the kids affected by the storm would be taken care of and have a sense of normalcy, even as their parents and families struggled to get back on their feet.

As a simple "mother daughter duo", she affected big change in simple but effective ways, rallying her community behind her through word of mouth that, even more than a year after Hurricane Irma, is still taking steps to lend a sense of normalcy to families affected by the storm.
